The Makita 18 Volt LXT® Compact Cordless Band Saw is designed for one-handed operation in confined spaces and overhead applications. The band saw is powered by a brushless motor that delivers variable blade speed for faster and more efficient cutting. It comes with a LED light that illuminates your work area in low light conditions. Overload protection safeguards the motor from burnout in any high torque situations. Die-cast aluminum gear and blade housing ensure durability and high cutting stability. The saw has 2-5/8 x 2-5/8" cutting capacity and is ideal for cutting multiple materials. Constant speed control automatically applies extra power to the motor to maintain speed under load during challenging jobs. The blade tracking dial allows users to adjust for enhanced cutting performance quickly. Star Protection Computer Controls™ protect from overloading, over-discharging, and over-heating. The tool-less blade change lever ensures easy installation and minimal downtime. The catch bar helps overcomes accidental follow-through during repetitive cutting.
