Polar Tool at the Build North Expo

We’re proud to be part of the Build North Expo in Duluth, Minnesota—an event that

brings the local building community together and helps homeowners kick off projects

before the busy season hits. At Polar Tool & Supply, we work with contractors and

DIYers every day, so we love seeing an expo that connects the people doing the work

with the people planning the work.

 

What is the Build North Expo?

The Build North Expo is a three-day event hosted at the Essentia Heritage Center in

West Duluth. You’ll find more than 80 local businesses across building, construction,

landscaping, design, and related trades. It’s a great chance to compare options, ask

questions face-to-face, and get real answers from local pros—before schedules fill up.

The Arrowhead Builders Association put this event together with a clear goal: help

homeowners get started earlier.

 

 

As ABA President Lindsey Whitlinger shared, contractors have been getting booked up

earlier and earlier. This expo gives homeowners a chance to plan ahead, meet local

businesses, and line up the right tools, materials, and partners for spring and summer

projects.

• Thursday, March 12, 2026: 4–8 p.m.

• Friday, March 13, 2026: 12–9 p.m.

• Saturday, March 14, 2026: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

 

Don’t Miss the Saturday Build Off

One of the highlights on Saturday is the Build Off, where two local high

schools—Wrenshall and Northwestern—will compete by building a shed on-site. The

shed will be auctioned off, and the proceeds will be split between the two schools.

We love seeing the next generation get hands-on with the trades. If a student is truly

passionate about building, this is the kind of event that can open doors—meeting

business owners, seeing different career paths up close, and getting connected to

opportunities.
