This reel features a StripGuard™ clutch that keeps the gears safer from damage due to snagging and excessive force. To protect the internal components of the Milwaukee 100-foot precision line chalk, the reel has reinforced, all-metal housing. Its unique planetary gear system spreads force evenly over each of the three gears within the reel as you use it, helping extend the life of the reel. When you finish snapping a line, the 6-to-1 retraction ratio of Milwaukee chalk reels means the chalk line returns to the housing quickly. A low spillage line reduces the frequency of chalk replacements. Folding handles sit flush against the housing, making storage in tight spaces easy.
